2. Applications:
*Durene (1,2,4,5-Tetramethylbenzene) is an important fine chemical raw material. The oxidized product, pyromellitic dianhydride, can polymerize with diamine compounds to produce polyimide engineering plastics, which have excellent high-temperature resistance and insulation properties. This makes it a critical material in high-tech industries such as microelectronics, aerospace, and military applications.
*Durene can also serve as an intermediate in the production of pharmaceuticals and dyes. The by-product, high-grade aromatic solvent oil, is widely used in industries such as pesticides, light industry, and machinery. Naphthalene and methylnaphthalene are important raw materials in the pesticide, pharmaceutical, and dye industries.
3. Precautions for Use:
Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Storage temperature should not exceed 32°C, and relative humidity should not exceed 80%.
Store separately from oxidizers and avoid mixed storage. Use explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities. Prohibit the use of mechanical equipment and tools that can generate sparks.
