II. Applications:
Formaldehyde dimethyl acetal exhibits excellent physical and chemical properties, including good solubility, low boiling point, and good water miscibility. It can be widely used in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, household products, industrial automotive products, pesticides, leather polishes, cleaners, rubber industry, paints, inks, and more. Due to its excellent degreasing ability and volatility, it can be used as a cleaner to replace F11, F113, and chlorinated solvents. Consequently, it is an environmentally friendly product that can replace freon, reduce volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emissions, and lower atmospheric pollution.
III. Precautions:
This product is extremely flammable and irritating. Its vapor can form explosive mixtures with air. It can ignite when exposed to high heat, open flames, or strong oxidizers. It reacts violently with oxidizers. Contact with air or exposure to light can produce potentially explosive peroxides.
