2. Applications:
MEG is an important basic organic raw material in petrochemicals, mainly used in the production of PET polyester, antifreeze, unsaturated polyester resins, lubricants, plasticizers, non-ionic surfactants, explosives, etc. It is also used in coatings, photographic developer fluids, brake fluids, inks, and as a solvent and medium for ammonium persulfate. MEG ethers are used to produce special solvents. It has very wide applications.
3. Precautions for Use:
Contact with open flames, high heat, or oxidants may cause combustion and explosion hazards. High temperatures can increase the pressure inside containers, risking rupture and explosion. Pack in galvanized iron barrels, each containing 100Kg or 200Kg. During storage, seal tightly; for long-term storage, use nitrogen sealing, moisture-proof, fireproof, antifreeze. Store and transport as per regulations for flammable chemicals.
