II. Applications:
The main use of n-butanol is in the production of butyl acrylate, which is used in the coatings and adhesives industry. Smaller amounts are used to produce acetate esters and glycol ethers. It can also be used directly as a solvent.
III. Usage Precautions:
n-Butanol can be packaged in clean, dry railway tank cars or galvanized iron drums, with a net weight of 150 kg per drum. The packaging containers must be tightly sealed. It should be stored in a dry, ventilated warehouse at a temperature not exceeding 35℃, away from fire sources, flammable materials, oxidizers, and acids. The product can be transported by car or train, following the regulations for the transportation of hazardous materials. Operators should wear protective equipment. The maximum allowable concentration in the air within the operation area is 100 mL/m³.
