II. Application Fields:
—As a Solvent: Used as a raw material for organic synthesis.
—As a Reagent: Used for chromatographic analysis, organic solvent, and nylon-66 intermediate.
—Direct Applications: Can be used in the production of synthetic fibers, synthetic resins, synthetic rubber, and as a solvent for many polymer materials, precision magnetic tapes, and the electroplating industry. In the pharmaceutical industry, it can be used to produce expectorants, progesterone, rifamycin, and as a pharmaceutical solvent.
—Organic Synthesis: Tetrahydrofuran is an important raw material for organic synthesis and an excellent solvent, especially suitable for dissolving PVC, polyvinylidene chloride, and butyl rubber. Widely used as a solvent in surface coatings, anti-corrosion coatings, printing inks, magnetic tapes, and film coatings, and as a reaction solvent, it allows the control of the aluminum layer thickness and brightness when used in aluminum electroplating.
III. Usage Precautions:
Storage temperature should not exceed 30°C.
Sealed packaging is required to avoid contact with air.
Should not be stored with oxidizing agents, acids, or bases.
Use explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities.
The use of spark-producing mechanical equipment and tools is prohibited.
